Anger Management Group Workshop
Justified Anger & Conflict Management: A positive approach to controlling anger.
Anger is often viewed as a negative emotion that causes significant problems. Through our experiences and lessons, we are taught that we need to “get rid of” our anger through venting, punching pillows, or just biting our lip. When we do show our anger, it often leads to problems in relationships, lost jobs, or even legal issues; so we tell ourselves that we will try harder to avoid getting angry. This leads to avoiding dealing with real problems, and our anger gets even worse.
Justified Anger & Conflict Management, takes a different approach. Through 4 weeks of 2 hour group sessions, participants will learn a healthier way to view anger which includes using the energy in a way that can help solve problems and restore relationships rather than tearing them down.
The group is suitable for adults over 19 that are experiencing difficulties in relationships, work, or legal issues due to their anger. It runs 1x per week for 4 weeks. Each session is 2 hours.
For participants in this group, discounted rates for individual counselling are available to further explore their anger & relationships.
